Degerli Uyeler, Dostlar ve Turk Amerikan Tolumu Uyeleri,

Daha evvel de anons ettigimiz gibi, Mustafa Kemal Turk-Amerikan Dernegi (MKATAA) ve TURANT onderliginde ve Ataturk’un manevi kizi sayin ULKU ADATEPE’nin katilimi ile 15 Kasim Cumartesi gunu SMU de “Ataturk neden Turkiye icin onemli bir sahsiyettir” konulu bir kompozisyon yarismasi duzenleniyor.

Bu yarisma ile Amerika’da dogup buyuyen yeni nesil cocuklarimiza Turkiye Cumhuriyetinin kurucusunu tanimanin yaninda Turk Tarihi hakkinda kisaca bilgi edinmelerini hedefliyoruz.

Su ana kadar 13 cocougumuz programa katilmak icin muracaat etmistir ve yazilan kompozisyonlar en gec e-mail yolu ile turant@turant.org a gonderilmesi gerekir. Sonuclar 15 Kasim Cumartesi gunu aciklanacaktir.

Tum katilimci cocuklarimiza dereceye girsin veya girmesin sertifika ile odullendirilecektir.

ODULLER:

Birinciye $250

Ikinciye $ 150

Ucuncuye $100 odenecektir.

Kompozisyonlar en az 200 en cok 500 kelime olacaktir, Turkce veya Ingilizce yazilabilir.

Aileler cocuklarini yonlendirebilir, kaynak bulabilir fakat yazim ve yorum kesinlikle cocuga ait olmalidir.

Eserler tarafsiz juri tarafindan cocugun YASINA GRUBUNA gore degerlendirilecektir, kesinlikle kayirma soz konusu olmayacaktir.

ULKU ADATEPE ayrica bizlere cocuklugunda Ataturkle yasadigi anilarini anlatacaktir, bu onemli ani kacirmamanizi tavsiye ediyoruz.

Dear TURANT members and friends,

As we have announced previously we have organized a contest for the area children between 7-14 years of age“ Why Ataturk is an important figure for Turkey?” on Saturday, Nov. 15, and for the occasion Ataturk’s daughter Ulku Adatepe will be in Dallas, Texas. This will be an first combined project between Mustafa Kemal Turkish-American Association (MKATAA) and TURANT.   

So far 13 of area children has shown an interest and submitted an application to enter the contest. The written compositions should be sent by email to the address of turant@turant.org no later than Nov. 10 and winners will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 15th.

Every children who have entered  the contest will be awarded with a certificate.

AWARDS:

First Place $250.00

Second Place $150.00

Third Place $100.00

Number of words for the composition is minimum 200, maximum 500, and can be written in English or Turkish.

It is all right for parents to guide their children as long as the creator and writer is the child him/herself.

An independent jury will be evaluating the works of children depending on the age group, and absolutely no bias decision will take place in the selection of winners.

importantly we will listen Ulku Adatepe’s memoirs with Ataturk during this historic day for Turkish-American community.

Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

No door charge, free to the public. There will be an reception in the evening 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm for the Honor of Ulku Adatepe.
