Degerli Uyelerimiz ve Dostlarimiz, Okul sezonuna yaklasirken TURANT olarak biz de aktivitelerimize yogunluk veriyoruz. Oncelikle Turkce okulumuzun 7 Eylul de baslayacagini sizlerle paylasmaktan buyuk mutluluk duyuyoruz. Su ana kadar 20'nin uzerinde cocugumuz kayit yaptirmis olup bu sayinin ailelerin tatilden donmesi ile artacagini tahmin ediyoruz. New York T.C. Egitim Ataseliginden temin ettigimiz Turkce kitap ve sozlukler elimize ulasti ve bu bilgiler isiginda ogretmenlerimiz egitim programlarini hazirlamak icin bir dizi toplantilar yaptilar. Gectigimiz Pazar gunu ise TURANT Baskani Saduman Gurbuz'un de katilimi ile ilk veli toplantimizi gerceklestirdik. Bu toplantida ogretmenlerimiz velilere egitim programi hakkinda bilgiler verdiler ve en verimli egitimi alabilmeleri icin is birliginin onemine deginildi. Ogretmenlerimiz Esra Guleyupoglu, Tugce Onen ve Sule Dogan (kisa ozgecmislerini ekte bulabilirsiniz) gercek egitimciler olup bu gorevi gonullu olarak yapacaklar. Bundan dolayi TURANT yonetim kurulu olarak kendilerine cok mutesekkur oldugumuzu belirtmek isteriz. Bu konuda daha fazla bilgi icin lutfen baskan yardimcimiz Esra Guleyupoglu ile iletisime geciniz e.guleyupoglu@charter.net 31 Agustos gunu hepinizi piknige bekliyoruz, hem 30 Agustos Zafer Bayramini kutlayacagiz hem de daha once ilan ettigimiz TAVLA turnuvasinin ilk turu baslayacak. Ayrica piknikte cuzi bir miktara doner ve sandvic yeme imkaniniz olacak. Icecekler dernegimizin ikrami olacaktir. Piknik yer ve teferruatli bilgileri icin lutfen www.turant.org u takip ediniz. TURANT sizlerin de katkilari ile Myanmar sel felaketi magdurlari icin $300 ve Cin Halk Cumhuriyeti Deprem felaketzedeleri icin ise $300 Red Cross'a yardim ceki gonderdi. Bu kampanyamiza destek olan tum dostlara tesekkur ediyoruz. Ramazan bayrami icin TURANT bayramlasma yemegi organize ediyor. 1 Ekim Carsamba Bayram gunu aksam 5-8 pm arasi tum dostlari bayramlasmaya bekliyoruz. Bayram gunu yemegi TURANT'in ikrami olacaktir. Her ayin son cuma aksami olacak bu aktivitemiz icin gununden once yer ve saati e-mail ile sizlere bildirecegiz. Ayrica web sitemizden de tum aktivitelerimizi takip edebilirsiniz. Dear Members and Friends, Below you can see the highlights of our recent activities and information. You can also see our most recent postings on our website www.turant.org We are pleased to announce that our Turkish School will start September 7, 2008 with approximately 20 students. We are waiting on some of the children to return from Turkey. Esra Guleyupoglu, Tugce Onen, and Sule Dogan are our volunteer Turkish instructors. If you are interested in signing up your child or know of someone who maybe interested please contact Esra Guleyupoglu at e.guleyupoglu@charter.net August 31, 2008 we will have a family picnic. Location and additional details will be on our website. Same day (August 31) as our picnic we will also start the games. To sign-up please email Baris Isik baris.isik@gmail.com The prize is a round trip ticket for 1 person to Turkey. Also, you will be able to purchase "doner" and the beverages (non-alcoholic) are on us. For more information please check our website from time to time. TURANT appreciates all that have contributed. TURANT made $300 checks payable to Red Cross for Myanmar flood victims and $300 for China earthquake victims last month. Mark your calendars for the Traditional TURANT Bayram Dinner. On October 1st on Bayram Day we will meet from 5-8pm. TURANT will host the dinner. Please check our website from time to time for details as we appoarch for location. Every month on the 1st Friday we will be meeting for "Happy Hour." Every month we will meet at a different place. Our first Happy Hour is 29th of August, Friday.
