President - Ergin Gurbuz

Ergin Gϋrbϋz was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He received BS degree from Istanbul University and dual MA from Webster University in US. He moved to Dallas from Colorado in 1989 for the DOE project for Super Conducting Super Collider and has been an engineer in aerospace Industries in 26 years involved in the Fortune 200
companies projects including Sundstrand (United Technologies), Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Eaton Aerospace, and Boeing in there managing technology transfers to the TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industry). Currently he is employed by FM Global working in engineering and risk management levels. He has been an active
member of TURANT since 1990 and volunteered, supported and participated in every TURANT activities.

Treasurer - Fatih Ulgen

Fatih Ülgen was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1977. He came to the US for his college education at Louisiana State University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. During his years of college he was an active member of the Turkish Student Association at LSU. He performed different roles and was elected as Vice President in 1997. Since 1998 Fatih has been living in Dallas and works as a database developer and database administrator. Fatih is married to a native Argentine and both his wife and himself love participating in TURANT's activities. He wants to ensure that the Turkish community, especially the new generations grow to be well fit Americans while embracing their Turkish identity.

Secretary - Nuran Sarilar

Hometown is Samsun, Turkey. She has been living in DFW area since 1989. Graduated from UT Arlington with Computer Science degree and working as a Software Engineer. She has been a member of TURANT since 1989 and has served in the board during 1993 and 1994. Volunteered in many TURANT activities. Married to Enver Sarilar and has 3 kids.

Board Member - Sevgi Sevenler

Sevgi Sevenler was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She attended Atakoy high school in Istanbul. She graduated from Culinary Art School in Stockholm, Sweden. She moved to New York in 1986. Along with her brother she ran family owned restaurant business in New York until 2003. She moved to Dallas in 2003 and she is a member
and active volunteer of TURANT since 2007. She enjoys reading, cooking and movies. She lives in Plano, Texas, with her daughters Manolya and Selena.

Board Member - Deniz Colak

Deniz Çolak moved to the DFW area from Iowa in February 2009, after finishing his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. He is working as a Manufacturing Engineer and also working towards his master's degree at Southern Methodist University. He has been serving as a TURANT board member since May 2009. He has been involved with organization of all the great TURANT activities, to introduce and promote our great home country Turkey to the DFW community.
