TURANT assists Ahiska families in DFW metroplex

  • Invited them to most of TURANT events (both bayram dinners, picnics, Sari Zeybek Show, festivals etc.), covered all their expenses.

  • Made immediate cash donations to needy familes.

  • Purchased new clothes for the families cannot afford them or in urgent needs.

  • Upgraded their living headquarters and moved some Ahiska Families to much better apartments, replaced furniture, appliances and computers.

  • Assisted sick families and family members including children. 

  • Arranged doctor visits to educate families about health and hygiene. Our Medical instructor evaluated the health conditions of families who live in poor hygienic conditions and gave them proper guidelines to follow. 

  • Provided internet service to young adults and covered their expenses. 

  • Assisted families about immigration issues, aided to newcomers to apply for theirAmerican passport processes, have resolved the issues related Russian government with the help of Turkish Consulate in Houston.

  • Hired specialized attorney to represent a family of Ahiska Turks in order to eliminate their son's wrongfully deportation, just because of misinformation in the INS files, and  covered all their attorney expenses.

  • Asissted freshmen for applying to universities.
